{"id":32,"date":"2014-01-29T14:50:48","date_gmt":"2014-01-29T14:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lupson.co.uk\/blog\/?p=32"},"modified":"2014-01-29T15:56:18","modified_gmt":"2014-01-29T15:56:18","slug":"iga-nephropathy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lupson.co.uk\/blog\/iga-nephropathy\/","title":{"rendered":"IGA Nephropathy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s what Ive got.\u00a0 Its quite common, and often goes undiagnosed.\u00a0 I might well not have found out if I had not changed doctors and had a routine urine test.<\/p>\n<p>Its also called <a title=\"National Kidney Federation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kidney.org.uk\/help\/medical-information-from-the-nkf-\/kidney-diseases-index\/medical-info-kidney-disease-iga\/\">Berger&#8217;s Disease<\/a>, and is contracted following throat or chest infections.\u00a0 I may well have started following a streptococcal throat infection I have in early 2000 or 2001 (cant remember).\u00a0 I was diagnosed in Feb 2002 following a biopsy.\u00a0 I have been treated with increasing amounts of blood pressure medication since that time, initially at Bradford St Luke&#8217;s (where I was born!) but more recently locally.<\/p>\n<p>My medication is currently:<\/p>\n<p>Doxazosin (as Mesilate) 4 mg x 1per day<br \/>\nSoduim BiCarbonate 500mg x 4 per day<br \/>\nLisinopril 20mg x4 per day<br \/>\nValsartan 160mg x 2 per day<br \/>\nAlfaCalcidol 500ng x 1 per day<br \/>\nViazem XL 180mg x 1 per day<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s what Ive got.\u00a0 Its quite common, and often goes undiagnosed.\u00a0 I might well not have found out if I had not changed doctors and had a routine urine test.
